Episode overview:
A crush’s rich “boyfriend” and rude mother try to keep Zack and her away from each other. Meanwhile, an intelligence test between London’s dog, Ivana, and Bailey’s pet pig, Porkers, is held, with Cody as the referee.
This episode has some references to the 1997 James Cameron film, Titanic. Some examples include: The snooty mom and boyfriend Cal trying to keep Jack Dawson away from Rose. Zack is being kept away from Violet.
Cal having a necklace being planted into the pocket of Jack, thus setting him up. Zack is set up by having a necklace secretly planted into his pocket.
The dramatic scene of Jack holding onto a floating platform in the water as he stares at Rose, who is drifting safely on the platform and tells her to never let go. Zack says that line to Violet.
In the scene with Violet and Zack on the Sky Deck, to the scene of Rose and Jack on the deck of the Titanic.
In the Titanic, the valuable diamond necklace is called the Heart of the Ocean. The one in this episode is called The Kidney of the Sea (also the title of the episode). It is yet another connection to this episode and the Titanic.
